Is there any difference between 35 watt and 55 watt systems? If so whats the difference and which is better?

i purchased my 55w hid kit for $240, it was the brightest kit I ever own out of 5 kits I been through, 80% of the people passing by turns their head, but unfortunately that kit is not reliable, bulb burn at 6months and ballast goes out right after warranty goes out. 55w or 50w will be higher output, give you more lights, through all the kits i been through and has to order a full replacement kit every 8-12months, I want to get those oem ballast from tsx/s2000.

I've had a $70 55 watt kit for 2 years now, without a problem. Got it from DDM. 55 watt is more light, and less color, while 35 watt will give you more blue/yellow or whatever color you're looking for.

I agree. I've run my ddm hid kit for a while. It's great. 55w 8k. Reasonable pricing and great warranty and results. Only down side is it takes 1-2 weeks to deliver because they come out of china.

^ Doesn't everything these days? :/ That is one thing I do remember, quite a while to ship. About a week for me, I think it was.

Mine are a bluish hue when looking at them straight on but light up the road they look more white than blue. From what I'm told a 55w 8k looks more like a 35w 6k. But I may be mistaken.
