ok so ive researched and i get different answers

so the cars fuel pump isnt priming up
it turns over and everything but doesnt start
the check engine light came on right before the car died at a stop light
tryed to check for codes and the CEL just stayed on and didnt blink
the d4 light was blinking and it blinked codes if i read it right 1,2,3,7,8,10,14
the main relay normally supposed to click 2 times but it only clicks once and thats it
i tryed a main relay from my 95 civic and it did the same thing,,but preludes is 0139 and my civics is 0132..idk if that makes a difference

so what ive researched is that it could infact be the main relay since that is the fuel pumps power/signal source OR it could be the ICM in the distributor

anyone have any suggestions???
help would be very appreciated

Get a test light or meter and check to see if you have heat goin back to the fuel pump.

Or just jump the relay and see if starts.

1:take the key out of the ignition.
2:push car out of driveway.
3:get behind car and push down the street.
4:go to dealership.
5:put key (new) in ignition of new car.
6:push or drive back into driveway.

Cross reference the main relay wiring schematic that you tried with the prelude and see if they are the same. I worked on an 94 accord about a year ago and it had a bad main relay and the CEL stayed on. The main relay will also give the injectors power. I read that if the injectors don't get power the CEL will stay on. Check to make sure the ground wire on the coolant thermostat is clean and tight. I change the relay with a new one from a parts store and it worked fine and no CEL. The accord also had a D4 flashing but the TCM are known to go bad on that car.

Get a wiring diagram.
Check power/ground at fuel pump.
If power/ground are found, Rpl. fuel pump.
If not found, continue to follow the circuit until you discover the reason why.

Electrical diagnostic is not difficult....just time consuming. Be methodical.

I need to know what engine you have before I can find the right diagram.
